Welcome to Live Well Physical Therapy, LLC
Angie Huber, PT, DPT
Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
I am a woman of multiple hats. I am a proud mom of 4 kids and have been married to my other half, Nate, for 19 years. I am a physical therapist. I am an educator and scholar. I started Live Well PT, Inc. because I know how essential physical therapy can be within the healthcare system, and I wanted to have a way to provide quality, evidence based, and personalized care to make a difference in the lives of those I serve.
I am an alumni from Ottawa-Glandorf High School, University of Dayton (Exercise Science Bachelors), Ohio State University (Masters of Physical Therapy), Arcadia University (Doctor of Physical Therapy), and am currently a Doctor of Education candidate at University of Findlay. I am a life long learner in its truest form. Part of this continuation of education is because I am an Assistant Professor and the Chair and Program Director at the University of Findlay Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs. In this role, I spend much time teaching future DPT’s in the area of Patient Examination, Orthopaedic Care, Differential Diagnostics, and Medical Screening. You may see me at the local coffee shop ferociously typing manuscripts, presentations, or supporting the students and faculty at UF in my administrative role.
The most important part of the “About” section however, is how I best serve my community of patients and clients. As you can imagine Live Well PT is not a booming, busy everyday clinic. It is a small, quaint room on the second floor of Phantasm Designs where I can dedicate 4-8 hours to my patients and clients a week. I also provide mobile services (I come to you) when a patient should not go up a flight of stairs or so I can provide care in the patients environment that causes them issues (e.g. work, on the field). I am a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, which is a nationally recognized certification that signifies a higher level of knowledge in orthopaedics that is maintained regularly through continued learning as a clinician and production of knowledge. What this means for my patients is that I will examine your chief complaints thoroughly, provide you up to date treatment and recommendations, and appropriately refer you if I am not able to provide you care in my cash based setting. https://specialization.apta.org/find-a-specialist.
If you have reviewed my services you will also notice I provide vestibular rehabilitation. I have been treating the vestibular patient since 2009 and my interest in this area was driven by the struggles of a close family member. I truly understand the disability that occurs because of “dizziness”, “fogginess”, “imbalance”, “spinning”, and the many other terms patients struggle to verbalize to define their vestibular symptoms.
Lastly, my unique expertise is managing injuries and preventing injury in runners of all levels (including those who do not consider themselves a “runner”, however would like to start this activity). I also love working on performance of the athlete. My scholarship and publications and presentations in the PT field are in the area of managing runners and promoting physical activity for the wellness of all individuals.
